THE SILENT ZONE

When the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic first became known, I would watch the news unfold from my hotel room in Rovaniemi in Finland, whilst taking short walks outside during the day. Change happened rapidly as the offices and shopping centres began to shut down, the streets and highways became empty, and the city fell silent. As the public areas remained vacant and still, a sense of isolation descended over the city.

The Silent Zone was made as part of The Isolation Project by the MAP6 Collective.
