THE SILENT ZONE

When news of the COVID 19 pandemic first broke, I watched events unfold from my hotel room in Rovaniemi, Finland, whilst taking short walks outside during the day. Change came swiftly: offices and shopping CENTRES closed, streets and highways emptied, and the city fell into silence. Public spaces, once bustling, stood vacant and still, and a profound sense of isolation settled over the city.

The Silent Zone was made as part of The Isolation Project by the MAP6 Collective.
